Following his work for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Mathieu Forget continued his Faire Voler le Sport / Sport In the Air series in 2025.

Inside the Musée d’Orsay, moving between the statues of the grand gallery, an improvised dialogue took shape.
A quiet dance in collaboration with French Handball legend Nikola Karabatic, where every gesture, every pause carried meaning.

Mathieu Forget sought to capture this delicate balance: the man behind the legend, softness within stength.
Suspended moments, ephemeral instants where the champion seemed to float, almost in conversation with the century-old sculptures around him.

Created in partnership with the Musée d’Orsay and the Paris Tourism Office,
this project is a renewed tribute to both art and sport, reaching over 3 millions views across all social channels.
But above all, photographing Nikola Karabatic is about capturing a fragment of sports history, and a glimpse of the soul behind it.
