FAIRE VOLER L'ESCRIME

FAIRE VOLER L’ESCRIME

A celebration of motion, elegance, and the human pursuit of mastery.

Developed in collaboration with triple fencing world champion Enzo Lefort, the project explores the intersection of sport, movement, and visual art.
Together, the artist and athlete created a choreographed “chasing dance” inspired by the fluidity and precision of fencing.

The performance and photographic series were realized inside the Petit Palais, Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris, culminating in a closing scene that pays tribute to the Grand Palais, the historic monument that will host fencing during the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Blending the artistry of photography with the discipline of sport, the project stands as a visual dialogue between two forms of excellence — a celebration of motion, elegance, and the human pursuit of mastery.

This photograph — and the series it belongs to — became one of the most recognized artistic and sports images of the 2024 Olympic Games, reaching over 200 million views and impressions worldwide. The image achieved viral status across digital platforms and was later featured as the cover of Mathieu Forget’s acclaimed sports photography book, appearing in numerous international media outlets, exhibitions, and printed publications.
